Autopatrolled

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 04:57, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Released players

In the English system, contracts end on 30 June (so players leave clubs on that date) and begin on 1 July (so players join new clubs on that date). Please wait until those dates before editing. GiantSnowman 07:56, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You are incorrect. In the English system players can contract with new clubs when the summer transfer window opens (14 June 2023). At the date of contracting they have left their old club and joined their new club. They cannot play for their old club again, they are not part of the old club and not covered by the old clubs insurance etc. What you are referring to is the registration of players with the English leagues for the coming season starting 01July each year. If a players contract expires on the 30June and he has not signed for another club before that date he becomes a free agent. More importantly, Wiki is not a contracts database - players that have signed for another club in the summer transfer window since all matches in the previous season are concluded and with adequate references are more accurately included as part of their new club.10:24, 22 June 2023 (UTC) Pwimageglow (talk) 10:24, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Again - players will not depart until 30 June. GiantSnowman 21:01, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is not clear why you acknowledge the 30 June date here but then make contradictory edits like this... GiantSnowman 21:02, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is no contradiction. I have clearly explained the out of contract date (30Jun) and contracting for the new season when the transfer window opens mid-June (14 June 2024). I've no interest in your trivial stalking and snide insults so don't message me again.21:36, 8 May 2024 (UTC) Pwimageglow (talk) 21:36, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

July 2023

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Max Watters. GiantSnowman 18:22, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not again with your trivial stalking. If you bothered to check the history you would find that I did not add the details of Watters move to Barnsley. Also I would remind you that issuing threats against the goodwill edit of whoever did update the page is against Wiki policy. You do not own all the football pages on Wiki. I expect your apology.18:53, 25 July 2023 (UTC) Pwimageglow (talk) 18:53, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
