Thank you for your feedback however what connection do I have to the subject? Please may you highlight the refers to it being biased? I feel it has been written in a very non-biased and neutral tone. Please see Clothes Show Live and compare as they are very similar and while may be about an event that could be publicised, I feel it is written impartially as do a few other wiki-users and contributers. Your edits are coming off as promotional in nature, which is against Wikipedia policy. If you were no longer able to edit articles related to Girls' Day Out Show, what articles would you contribute to? Single purpose accounts that are used solely to raise the profile of a company are generally blocked as promotional.--<b><font color="Navy">Jezebel's</font></b><font color="Navy">Ponyo</font><font color="Navy">bons mots</font> 18:50, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

The article Girls' Day Out Show has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication that the subject meets the notability guidelines for inclusion. No reliable references to establish third-party coverage.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. §FreeRangeFrog 19:02, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NEW MESSAGE

Hello! Thanks for the heads up. I am still learning but have sought help and advice from fellow wiki experts and have heavily revised the article. Please give me some feedback and let me know if this is okay now. Thank you very much. Rosiehannah (talk) 16:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of minor edits

I notice that most of your edits are marked as minor, but I think you need to read Help:Minor edit as I do not believe that many of your edits satisfy that definition. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:56, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh great, thank you so much for helping. I was a little wary of what exactly is classed as a minor edit so this link was very helpful. Thanks again! Rosiehannah (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The references you added seem to support the notability of this event. I see multiple third-party references to it, so you should be OK. What you need now is to fix it up a bit. See WP:MOS and look at other similar articles to get an idea about the tone and structure you need to follow. I also recommend heading over to the Teahouse for help from other editors. However, bad layout is not grounds for deletion or anything like that, it's just the idea that we should strive to do do quality work for the encyclopedia. Cheers. §FreeRangeFrog 21:18, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely, I agree with that. I looked to Clothes Show Live for inspiration as it is a similar concept yet note that it does need tidying up so hopefully with a little more guidance and help my first ever contribution should be OK. Do you have any particular suggestions? Thanks again Rosiehannah (talk) 09:24, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aligning a table

I'm trying to align the table on the Girls' Day Out Show page so it's on the right at the top -but to no avail. Anyone help? Rosiehannah (talk) 10:16, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You said above that you looked to Clothes Show Live for inspiration, so the easy option is to use Template:Infobox Convention as that article does. - David Biddulph (talk) 10:23, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ofcourse! I was simply creating a table with the available icon above, when I needed to be creating an infobox. Great. Thank you. Rosiehannah (talk) 10:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The numbers at the side of each contribution

Can anybody tell me what the numbers mean at the side of each contribution. For example: Moved spacing (+27) Removed table (-90) ? Rosiehannah (talk) 11:44, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

27 bytes (or characters) added; 90 removed. But it sometimes gets its calculations wrong. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:54, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
See Help:User contributions & Wikipedia:Added or removed characters. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:56, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes! I thought it was some kind of point system of contributions.. Thanks again. Rosiehannah (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

November 2012

Hello, Rosiehannah. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Girls' Day Out Show, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

 • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
 • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
 • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
 • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 14:56, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[[reply]

Reply to bons mots

Hello, I am certainly not promoting anything. I am merely creating a page to learn how to use Wikipedia. I have contributed to celebrity pages and health & beauty-related articles too. I will leave this page alone now as I feel it is complete and work on a next project to continue my knowledge as a Wiki user. :o) Can someone not continue to work on a page without looking dodgy? I was merely trying to add further info but I understand your concerns Rosiehannah (talk) 09:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
