Generic middle-east topics template

I really don't know why you left a generic middle-east topics template on my talk page, when I've been editing middle-east related Wikipedia articles off and on for upwards of 15 years. Furthermore, Jewish Palestinian Aramaic is NOT an article related to the Arab-Israeli conflict (as your use of the template falsely claims) -- that language died out about a thousand years ago, and the use of "Palestinian" as a scholarly term there has nothing to do with modern politics. The real problem is that the article has a tendency to attract the attention of cranks. I really don't need your advice in dealing with linguistic cranks on the topic of ancient Aramaic languages, but thanks anyway... AnonMoos (talk) 17:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@AnonMoos: Thanks for stopping by my talk page! Sorry for the response delay, I've been busy. First: my bad on the intro to contentious topics alert. Second: "the article has a tendency to attract the attention of cranks" is really not a great justification for the comment that earned you a warning. Please be civil to other users in your interactions, even when you disagree with them, otherwise you might be blocked from editing. theleekycauldron (talk o she/her) 09:30, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your so-called "warning"[sic] is based on a factually-false mistaken template which does not apply to the situation at all, so in fact I have NOT been warned as far as templates go. I often remove hectoring nonsense from my user talk page, but I feel no need to do so now, since what's there says a lot more about you than it does about me. AnonMoos (talk) 08:22, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@AnonMoos: Ah, I see the source of the confusion. The warning is not based on the template. The two are unrelated; the warning, which is contained in the text under the template, is based on what you said to Kingoflevant. Civility policy does apply outside of contentious topic areas. Although if you feel you haven't been sufficiently warned, I'm happy to try and explain it again. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 08:51, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Oh, I love Toblerone – thanks, Thriley! haven't thought about in ages, but it's so good. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 02:58, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

RFA2024 update: Discussion-only period now open for review

Hi there! The trial of the RfA discussion-only period passed at WP:RFA2024 has concluded, and after open discussion, the RfC is now considering whether to retain, modify, or discontinue it. You are invited to participate at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review/Phase II/Discussion-only period. Cheers, and happy editing! trout Self-trout for that typo, and for the edit actually resetting the RfC not going through. Not quite bad enough for the stocks, which is its own kind of embarrassing... theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 10:16, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PSHAW

Hi. Hope you are well. I was trying to withdraw my own DYK nomination when I realized I can't seem to find PSHAW in my toolbox. Has something changed or is the workbench unhappy? Cielquiparle (talk) 04:17, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, @Cielquiparle! I'm not sure why it's not showing up, but you could always try installing User:Theleekycauldron/Scripts/PSHAW/main.js instead, it's the updated version :) theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 09:39, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK Wrapped

Hi Leeky – quick question about DYK wrapped. Is there any easier/more automated way of curating the hook views in a month that I'm not aware of, or is it just what I had to do in terms of copying page names to wmtools and seeing the views on that day? Thanks! DimensionalFusion (talk · she/her) 11:14, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
