Site of arrest
On November 19, 2008, the West Baltimore station was the arrest site of Asa Seeley after a gypsy cabbie noticed a rifle in Seeley's possession, he refused to drive him to Washington, DC, and instead dropped him off at the West Baltimore rail station and alerted police. Passengers on the train platform also become suspicious of Seeley and phoned police. As police gave chase, Seeley jumped off the platform and broke his ankle. Law enforcement sources were initially reported to have claimed that Seeley stated he was going to shoot President George W. Bush,[1] but this was later determined to be incorrect.[2] He was charged with weapons offenses, and was reported to have said "he was going to Washington to shoot the people that shot him."[2]
