Whitewater is a town in Franklin Township, Wayne County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[2] The population was 83 at the 2010 census.

History

Whitewater was originally called Hillsborough, and under the latter name was laid out and platted in 1828.[4] The community was named after the nearby Whitewater River.[5]

The first post office in Whitewater was established in 1832.[6]
