Revision as of 04:44, 24 June 2010

See Wikipedia:Pending changes#Deployment for the deployment policy.

For the first phase of the trial (week 1), only pages listed here can be protected under pending changes. For the second phase (week 2), categories can also be listed, and articles in listed categories can be placed under pending changes in accordance with the policy. Each new day (starting 00:00 UTC), new articles can be protected, in four batches every six hours. The first day was 16 June 2010. All articles are considered for level 1 pending changes protection, unless stated otherwise.

Pages which are subject to too high levels of vandalism can be put back to semi-protection, in accordance with policy, this should be noted in the comments below.

Week 1

In interests of making this page navigable, please see Wikipedia:Pending changes/Queue/Week 1.

Week 2

Second phase, you may add articles as in the first phase but also categories of reasonable size. Note: we have a cap of 2000 articles on the trial as a whole. Rich Farmbrough, 15:48, 19 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Day 8

23 June 2010

Second phase, you may add articles as in the first phase but also categories of reasonable size.

Category:2010 FIFA World Cup players N/A See talk page. Only those that are currently semi-protected or warrant protection per WP:SEMI (as per policy).
I have added the currently semiprotected pages from the category[1] to the queue. If we want to use them in the trial then now! Amalthea 20:51, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Category:2010 FIFA World Cup referees N/A This may also be worthy of the test. Like many of the other sports officials articles, all it takes is one controversial call (or a perceived controversial call) by these referees and their articles immediately become highly visible, BLP vandal magnets (e.g. Koman Coulibaly). Zzyzx11 (talk) 16:38, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Northern Ireland (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done I think this is worthy of a test as it is a quite contraversial topic often target for POV and unsourced additions The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 19:45, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
George Osborne (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Gets a lot of vandalism from unconfirmed users, currently not protected but in need of some protection, this may help put them off. Off2riorob (talk) 14:04, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wanker (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Gets a lot of vandalism from unconfirmed users, generally BLP vios that require RD2 deletion. -- Alexf(talk) 01:36, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Stupidity (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Gets a lot of vandalism from unconfirmed users, generally BLP vios that require RD2 deletion. -- Alexf(talk) 01:39, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Amit Singhal (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Per request for protection on WP:RFPP. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:55, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
List of cutaneous conditions (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Not done I think this is worthy of a test, occasionally vandalized. ---kilbad (talk) 14:46, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. 山本一郎 (会話) 01:18, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Care Bears (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Not done About time I suggested this (and that comes from someone who happens to be in the know about them, on and off). Prone to vandalism (or should we say, "Fan-dalism"?) from time to time. --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 17:40, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. 山本一郎 (会話) 01:14, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Latymer Upper School (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done School in England. Got regular predictable teenage vandalism before semi-protection, and often anon edits commenting on the new school badge or inserting links to one-off news events involving pupils that don't really relate to the school as a topic. -- Earle [t/c] 14:40, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cheri DiNovo (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Receives regular, nasty vandalism from a moving IP located in Thailand if left unprotected; said vandalism extends to leaving comments on the talk page as well. Tabercil (talk) 23:25, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
LeBron James (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Been semi-protected since May. One article I thought will get a lot of eyes which can be good or bad. It will also be especially popular during the next two months in particular. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 06:42, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Leonardo da Vinci (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Even if it was jump of the queue, worth another shot. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:30, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Russell Brand (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Been semi protected for a while due to vandalism after a UK scandal. I think we could now consider opening it up a little. ϢereSpielChequers 11:13, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Persistent anonymous vandalism and political POV pushing. An internationally sensitive subject with moderate visibility and a high level of historical controversy, as well as a relatively stable article aside from the POV pushing and vandalism. Gigs (talk) 14:17, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Boris Johnson (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done I think this would be good for the trial - a high visibility page with consistent, albeit low-level, vandalism. TNXMan 19:52, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sydney Opera House (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done Article with high visibility (ca.60,000) frequently vandalised (10+ last month). --Elekhh (talk) 23:15, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Julia Gillard‎ (e|t|h|li|w|lo)  Done New PM of Australia to be sworn in today, ITN underway. Article vandalised many times in the past hours and semi-protected minutes ago. Could be a good test case of Pending changes. --Elekhh (talk) 02:21, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
