Draft:Alvin Greenman
Alvin Greenman was an American actor and dialogue coach.
He played the janitor Alfred in the film Miracle on 34th Street.
He was the only original member of the cast to appear in the 1994 remake.
Greenman grew up in the Lower East Side. He performed in community theater. He was noticed at the Henry Street Playhouse by a Fox talent scout.[2]
"Yeah, there's a lot of bad -isms floating around this world, but one of the worst is commercialism. Make a buck. Make a buck. Even in Brooklyn, it's the same. Don't care what Christmas stands for. Just make a buck. Make a buck"[4]
Greenman later remembered Edmund Gwenn as "a dear, dear man."[6]
Greenman was the dialogue coach for the 1989 film Sing.[7]
