Title

[edit]

There is also a Draft:The Family Star+ a redirect This is all very confusing, as this draft is a much better version. Can we redirect it and merge to the other one (although not as good but apparently with the good title) and then move to Main? Best,-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 21:27, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would say the draft redirect could be deleted and also change the "Family Star" redirect from the actor to this page. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:33, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I redirected the first (feel free to have it deleted if everyone agrees it's harmful); i might ask for the redirect change of the second later (it's protected) if I have time. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 10:22, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved

The Herald has fixed the redirect. Thanks.-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 22:34, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

As noted in the ANI thread by at least one other editor, this page "cites unreliable sources." I will not touch the page while others are working on it but would recommend taking care of the WP:NEWSORGINDIA references and replace with better (if they are available). I can do it if no one else wishes to take on the task. An example is the first three sources which is also being discussed at WP:ICTF for those wishing to opine. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:37, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

india Today, The Hindustan Times and The Indian Express are currently considered generally reliable. There's currently no need to replace them. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 10:58, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are partially correct. The publications are generally reliable. However, per WP:NEWSORGINDIA, these particular references within those publications are NOT. You would need to change consensus and are also welcome to opine in the new task force reference list being assembled at the moment. I am going to wait and see the film before I do any cleanup so hopefully those currently working on it can make the corrections. --CNMall41 (talk) 18:35, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry but the 1st link you provide mentions the Indian Express's Branded Solutions Section only, and not the other two publications at all, unless I am mistaken. So that, current consensus being what it is, it's rather you who seem to wish to change the consensus, I'm afraid. As for the new tf reference list, if it's in the 2nd link, it confirms the said consensus: all 3 are green. If a certain number of users wish to obtain a new ad hoc consensus on sources so that it fits their assessment of Indian media or/and of what can or cannot be kept on WP, I'll have a look at their proposals, sure. In the meanwhile, enjoy the film. I'll leave it at that as I consider to have spent more than enough time on this. Thank you. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 22:24, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are using the examples as a way to bypass what it actually says about using these references. Relevant discussion has been brought up here. I'll wait for that to close prior to trimming the page here. --CNMall41 (talk) 20:11, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are using the examples as a way to bypass what it actually says about using these references No, I am not. (Especially.....when nothing in ’it’ is said about them!) And everything you say rather suggest that.... you are. Please read with more attention the links you yourself provide. Now please excuse me but I won’t reply nor comment here anymore: again, too much time spent on this for me and I find it pointless for me to argue any further about the sources. Remove, replace anything you wish; after all, it probably won’t be harmful and I am sincerely sure you will do it in good faith anyway. I won’t visit nor edit/watch the page nor this TP. The page is all yours as far as I am concerned. Thank you for your time. Best, -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 21:10, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
