| Description |
English: You wouldn't know it from this photo, but when I took the picture we were in some of the roughest sea conditions of the entire summer. As luck would have it, this was the first day of a one-week cruise out of Prince Rupert with guests!
Well, the guests were good sports about it, and they had taken seasickness medication so the experience was never truly vile. It was too much for one of the cats, though, and she barfed delicately for the first and only time on this cruise before taking to her storm berth in the master stateroom. However, unseen in this photo is the lovely expanse of calm water in the channel behind Port Simpson (Lax Kw'alaams). Soon we turned the corner, the seas laid down, and everything was groovy again. |
