Semen Padang Football Club is an Indonesian professional football club, based in Indarung, Padang, West Sumatra.
Founded on 30 November 1980, they currently compete in Liga 1 in the 2024–25 season following promotion.
It made its debut by participating in Galatama First Division in 1980. In 1982, Semen Padang succeeded in winning the First Division and at the same time was promoted to the Galatama Premier Division.[1]
Semen Padang has four supporter groups, The Kerbau Merah Suporter (Kmers) [id], Spartacs [id], UWS 1980 and Padang Fans. The Kmers is the oldest Semen Padang supporter group which was established on 14 November 2001 and is directly affiliated with the team management. During Semen Padang matches, they usually occupy the north stands of the Gelora Haji Agus Salim Stadium.[3] Spartacs is also the largest supporter base of the club which was founded on 18 May 2010, and is an independent Semen Padang supporter group. They occupy the south stand of the stadium.[4]
