This is a list of characters from the American television series The Cleveland Show.
Brown/Tubbs family
- Cleveland Brown (voiced by Mike Henry) – Formerly as one of Peter Griffin's best friends on Family Guy, he moves back to the town where he grew up and finds his old girlfriend from high school, Donna Tubbs. Eventually resparking his relationship with her, they get married and he and his son move in with her and her 2 kids. Cleveland is usually depicted as exceedingly gentle and patient, and it is only on rare occasions that he has been known to lose his temper and resort to violence. However, Cleveland gets visibly annoyed with racist behavior, which sometimes is justified. He often acts as the voice of caution when other characters hatch harebrained schemes. Cleveland's speech is slow, almost elongated. Various flashbacks give conflicting histories of his speech patterns.
- Donna Tubbs (voiced by Sanaa Lathan) – Donna is the high school sweetheart of Cleveland Brown. She is the mother of Roberta and Rallo. After her marriage to Cleveland, she also has a step-son, Cleveland Jr.. Her ex-husband is Robert Tubbs.
- Cleveland Brown, Jr. (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) – Junior is the obese son of Cleveland Brown. He debuted in the season 2 episode "Love Thy Trophy" of the animated TV show Family Guy. During his time in Family Guy he was previously shown to be skinny, hyperactive, and athletic. He was presumably taken into Loretta's custody after she divorced Cleveland in "The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire," and has since become severely obese.
- Roberta Tubbs (voiced by Nia Long in 2009, Reagan Gomez-Preston in 2010) – Roberta has a personality like most cliche teenage girls. Like Rallo, she is talkative and aggressive. She gets attracted by celebrities some of the time. She commonly wears a necklace, a green tube top, a black belt, rolled up blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.
- Rallo Tubbs (voiced by Mike Henry) – Rallo likes kickball, super sugar crisps and looking at naked celebrities on the internet. He likes older ladies and, with Cleveland's help, he has discovered a less obvious way to check out the girls in his kindergarten class at Harper Elementary.
Other relatives to the Browns/Tubbs
- Loretta Brown – Cleveland's ex-wife, and the mother of Cleveland, Jr. Early in the show, Loretta had a minimal quantity of lines, the bulk of which were "Mm-hmm!"[citation needed] She also mispronounces Stewie's name regularly, calling him names "Stumpy" or "Stoolie". She treats Cleveland harshly, and eventually cheats on him with Glenn Quagmire, leading them to divorce.[1] In the episode "Love Blactually", it is revealed that she has regretted her actions and wants Cleveland back, but he refuses her advances. Cleveland informs her that he needs to move on, and advises her to do the same. Loretta made a very brief, non-speaking cameo appearance in "Cleveland Jr. Cherry Bomb." Seth MacFarlane revealed in a FOXFall press event that Loretta will die in a future episode.
- Robert Tubbs (voiced by Corey Holcomb) – He is the father of Rallo and Roberta Tubbs and is the ex husband of Donna Tubbs. He has grown negligent of the statuses of his children, not even knowing their names, which convinces Donna to accept Cleveland as her true love. Swearing revenge, Robert leaves with the Browns' pet parakeet, Joan. Like Cleveland, Donna's neighbors do not like Robert because of his arrogant ways. He stole Lester's good lighter (the Bic one) and broke Holt's Game Boy. He is currently an unemployed bum, while Rallo thinks he's at first an FBI agent, then Santa Claus.
- Cookie Brown (voiced by Frances Callier) - She is Cleveland's mother. Her first appearance was in the episode A Brown Thanksgiving. She is hyper-critical of Donna.
- LeVar "Freight Train" Brown (voiced by Craig Robinson) - He is Cleveland's Father. His name is a reference to LeVar Burton. He is abusive towards Cleveland, and has a history of leaving and then reuniting with his wife.
- Auntie Momma (voiced by Kym Whitley as a female and Kevin Michael Richardson as a man) - She is Donna's aunt. Her appearance and mannerisms are a parody of Tyler Perry's character Madea, as is the fact that she's a transvestite (Perry plays Madea in drag). Auntie Momma was originally Donna's Uncle Kevin, and when Donna was younger her parents were never around, so he became she in order to provide Donna with a strong female influence in her life. Donna is very fond of her but is unaware she is actually a man; when Cleveland finds out, he keeps it from her to preserve their relationship.
- Loretta's Mother - Cleveland's ex mother-in-law and Cleveland Jr.'s grandmother. It has been mentioned several times that Cleveland doesn't like her.
- Broderick Brown - Cleveland's brother and Cleveland Jr.'s uncle. He was a doctor until he joined the Navy. He makes a cameo appearance at the end of Our Gang.
Pets
- Meadowlark Lemon – He was the Tubbs family's dog. He was seen playing with Rallo in the Pilot. In "Da Doggone Daddy-Daughter Dinner Dance," Cleveland accidentally ran over him with his car. After trying to cover up the truth, Cleveland gave the body to Lester, who ate him with his family, to which he called "Chinese food". Meadowlark Lemon was named after a Harlem Globetrotters player, who was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
- Joan Parakeet – He is a parakeet bought by Robert for Donna in the Pilot. Rallo names her Joan after Donna tells him the bird is female. However, at the end of the episode, Joan leaves with Robert and says "That's what I was tellin you, before!" with a distinctly male voice, as similar to the show of the same name.
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbark – He was the Brown-Tubbs family's second family dog, after Meadowlark Lemon was run over by Cleveland. Kareem Abdul-Jabbark was killed by a wolf when his throat was bitten severely. The wolf was then shot to death by Lester in revenge of Kareem's death. he is named after basketball player Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Neighbors
A number of characters in the show live on the same street as the Brown family. All were seen attending the wedding of Cleveland and Donna Brown.
Bear family
- Tim the Bear (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) – Tim is a regular character on The Cleveland Show. He is in a group with Cleveland, Lester and Holt (in similar fashion to Peter, Joe, Quagmire and Cleveland on Family Guy).[citation needed] In the episode "Birth of A Salesman," it is revealed Tim works at the local cable company, Waterman Cable, as a telemarketer, and gets Cleveland a job there as well.
- Arianna the Bear (voiced by Arianna Huffington) – Arianna is the wife of Tim and one of Cleveland and Donna's neighbors in Stoolbend. She and Tim have a son named Raymond. She seems unaware about Tim smoking. She is not against purchasing lavish things; a store that deals with foreign coffees has her credit card on file. She is a stereotypical housewife and has conservative values; Donna used to be uncomfortable around her because she was judgmental about Donna being a single mother. In the episode "Ladies' Night," it was revealed that Arianna is fluent in Italian when she was talking to Holt's date, a prostitute who only spoke Italian.
- Raymond the Bear (voiced by Nat Faxon) – Son of Tim and Arianna and neighbors with Cleveland and Donna in Stoolbend. He appears briefly in the pilot at Cleveland and Donna's wedding. Raymond's father believes that he is useful for doing chores around the house that he does not want to do. In the episode "From Bed to Worse," Raymond is also considered popular in high school since he hangs out with Roberta, Federline, and Oliver. However, in contrast with his friends, Raymond is also smart and helps out with charities, such as spending his Thanksgiving with his family helping feed the poor in the episode "A Brown Thanksgiving." In "Field of Streams", it is revealed that he is a frequent user of marijuana. Unlike his parents, Raymond speaks with an American accent.
Krinklesac family
- Lester Krinklesac (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) – One of Cleveland and Donna's neighbors in Stoolbend, Lester is a redneck. He is apparently on friendly terms with his neighbor Donna, being at first concerned that Cleveland is stalking Donna but promptly apologizes to her when he realizes Cleveland was an invited guest. He becomes Cleveland's drinking buddy at The Broken Stool, where he also converses with Tim and Holt.
- Kendra Krinklesac (voiced by Aseem Batra) – She is the wife of Lester the redneck. Kendra is also a redneck, and is possibly disabled. She is very much overweight, a compulsive eater. She first appeared in the pilot episode at Cleveland and Donna's wedding. Kendra also appeared in "Da Doggone Daddy-Daughter Dinner Dance" in her house with Lester. She is often seen driving a Rascal electric scooter.
- Ernie Krinklesac (voiced by Glenn Howerton) – is the son of Lester and Kendra. Ernie first appeared in the episode Pilot at Cleveland and Donna's wedding. Ernie also appeared in the episode The One About Friends where Ernie became Cleveland Jr.'s new best friend and went so far as to wanting to move in with him. In this episode, it is revealed that Ernie has a pet opossum named Princess. This episode also showed that the Krinklesac household was no place for Ernie to be raised, and he was taken away by child services. Ernie and his father bond when they discover that the only reason they didn't want to live together was because they thought the other didn't, and Lester is able to bring Ernie back home. After visiting Arnold's Whoreshack in "Cleveland Jr.'s Cherry Bomb", Ernie apparently married a whore known as 'Two-Virgine' Merline.
Rickter family
- Holt Rickter (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) – Holt is a 32 year old fraternity boy wannabe. Holt attempts to be a suave, pop-culture reference-dropping bro, but the effect is undercut by his short stature (he is short enough to be mistaken for a child) and large beer gut. He enjoys Game Boy and Entourage, and is frequently seen playing or practicing golf. He drives a Chrysler Crossfire. As referenced in the pilot episode, Holt still lives with his mother.
- Mrs. Rickter (voiced by Stacy Ferguson) - So far, she has only been heard and not seen.

He has a crush on Terry. However, he is married to Lydia Waterman who is aware that he is gay.
