delete explained
[edit]I removed a claim of obsoleteness, since its clearly incorrect.
"The traditional decking material is pressure treated wood. This material is rapidly being phased out because it is obsolete."
In fact its by far the most common choice in England today, with well over 90% of the decking material market. Composite decking has advantages, but its high cost leaves it very much a minority choice. 82.31.207.100 (talk) 17:12, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
Just civil engineering covered?
[edit]This article seems only to cover civil engineering (it uses some words that are ambiguous across disciplines, so it is hard to be certain). There is little about modern composites, such as is used in the aerospace industry - can someone add something?ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 21:18, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
19th century shipbuilding technique
[edit]There is another article titled Composite ship on the subject of composite construction as used mostly in the 1860s for shipbuilding. A link or a merge is needed. The title Composite ship seems a little odd, as everyone (then and now) called that technique "composite construction".ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 21:21, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
