It shows that he is part of "christian group" within the national team.

Converts to Islam

Is it true?back to goguryeo (talk) 07:08, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, just like many other false rumors about Koreans and/or Korea, he happens to be a devout Christian. [1] (Korean article)
Just because it's ESPN, doesn't mean you can trust whatever it says.
Another false rumor about Korea is that Dokdo (called Liancourt Rocks in the English-speaking world) has never been an island with disputed sovereignty. It's Japan that has been spreading the rumor (that it is a disputed area) and lobbying people in the international courts to take it as a fact. --Immer in Bewegung (talk) 07:28, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have just sent in a complaint to ESPN about the misinformation. --Immer in Bewegung (talk) 08:40, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Case is closed. ESPN corrected their page. So as of this morning, no major sports newspaper claims that he is Muslim. I will change the wiki article in a few days when I have time. --Immer in Bewegung (talk) 02:33, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
