Sir MemeGod

Hi, I'm Sir MemeGod. I usually create articles on a wide variety of topics, including terrorism, galaxies, architecture, taxonomy, and a slew of other things. You can find me reviewing AfC drafts or at DYK. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! My greatest achievement is writing List of artwork at the United States Capitol complex, the 2,730th-longest article ever to be on Wikipedia.

About me

On Wikipedia

[edit]
  • I have made over 340 articles. (a lot, I know)
  • A bit less impressive, but I also have 10,000+ edits as of October 2024.
  • I have had five of my articles appear on the Main Page: Austin J. Tobin Plaza, Kiso 5639, COSMOS Field, G299.2-2.9 and Actinote zikani.
  • I have promoted two articles to "Good Article" status: Actinote zikani and Austin J. Tobin Plaza.
  • Although I'm assuming most people think that the ":)" at the end of every message I send is automated, it isn't. I manually add it every time. :)
  • I have AutoWikiBrowser rights. (I usually just add categories).
  • I am IPBE (IP Block Exempt), which I had to request 4 separate times due to UTRS issues (at least from what I've been told).
  • My signature is SirMemeGod
  • My user page somehow gets an average of 2,000 weekly pageviews, which is absolutely absurd.
  • Yes, I may have been the indirect cause of the purge of over 1,000 weather-related images on Wikimedia Commons, a massacre that continues to this day. :)
  • I was an extremely cringy editor from March to April of 2024. My signature was horrible, I would always say "lmao" and "lol" in professional discussions, among other stuff. For those of you who I haven't seen in months, yes I've changed, presumably for the better.
  • I am an AfC reviewer. It's gone pretty good so far, but we'll see how long it takes for me to get an angry talk page message.

Off Wikipedia

[edit]
  • I can operate a non-automated telescope pretty well.
  • I am a Cadet Airman First Class in the United States Civil Air Patrol. Yes, I wear a military uniform, and yes, it is uncomfortable in hot weather.
  • I do not yet own a Wikipedia hoodie, but will own one by September 30.
  • Yes, I live in Ohio. No, it is not funny. (The meme never made sense anyway)
  • I lived in Iceland for a year. The wind is worse then the snow, if I must be honest.
  • I am the owner of a 6-inch by 6.5-inch solid concrete cube. Don't ask why.
  • Why is my signature so vibrant? I have strabismus, right-eye exotropia, right-eye amblyopia, chronic diplopia (which is actually kind of cool, I can see two things at once) among a slew other vision problems (hence why I had bolded it earlier) and and have trouble finding my username while skimming through long discussions, which the big signature helps with.
  • My all-time favorite song is Juicy by The Notorious B.I.G.. If you haven't listened to it, give it a look. It is profane, that's all I'll say.
  • I am Community Emergency Response Team-certified, meaning the U.S. Government can deploy me to disaster sites at any given point.

Notes

[edit]
  • Note 1 = If you see an "" next to an article name, that means that I am particularly fond of how it turned out. They are also my best works! :)
  • Note 2 = If you see an "" next to an article name, that means that I created the article and nominated it for Did You Know. If you want to see the hook, then click on the article and go to its' talk page.
  • Note 3 = If you see an "" next to an article name, that means that the page has over 5,000 monthly pageviews (meaning that it is among my most-viewed works).
  • Note 4 = If you see an "" next to an article name, it means that it was published through Articles For Creation, which simply means that it was proofread and accepted to Wikipedia by others.
  • Note 4 = If you see an "" next to an article name, that means that the article my best-ever created page. It will be tossed around periodically, but whatever article name this icon is next to, is special to me as it is my most notable work. There can only be one on the list as well.
  • Note 5 = if you see an "" next to an article name, that means that the content is graphic in nature. I've added this because I don't want clueless people stumbling across an extremely graphic article.

This template was kindly stolen borrowed and inspired from Johnson524's userpage, thank you Johnson! :D

People being nice
The Special Barnstar
Thank you so much for creating the article on the Austin J. Tobin Plaza that was formerly on the site of the old WTC. I have seen you around here and there, and it is always great interacting with people editing in the NYC/9-11/World Trade Center article-space. Cheers! That Coptic Guyping me! I really, really appreciate your genuine commitment to learning the "tools of the trade". Your energy and enthusiasm are great assets and your understanding of how to use sources is rapidly getting there. Thank you for your patience and resilience. You have the makings of a formidable Wikipedian! Rlandmann (talk) 23:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for making those articles for "Weather of YYYY"! I worked on a bunch of them, but just ran out of steam keeping that up, so I appreciate you continuing those efforts. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:15, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

Talk page gems

Note: Yes, I actually thought I was retiring on May 2 of 2024. Yes, I came back two days later and look where I am now.

- I see that you have retired, so I wanted to say that it's sad to see you go, and I hope you decide to return at some point. I truly believe you were becoming a productive, competent editor that just needed a few pointers in the right direction, for weather articles anyway. Wishing you the best for your future endeavors. (From a very friendly editor)

- You can keep stalking my posts on other talk pages, but I will not stop engaging with other editors to deal with the issues you have created. If you want me to stop, then work on your editing and sourcing skills, take a step back to observe and learn, and do better work. Let me be very clear, I WILL talk about ongoing problems that need fixed with other users, and most of them just so happen to currently involve you. This is nothing new, there's no rule against it, and you are not owed protection from being the topic of conversations you don't like. Until you improve, you are going to have to deal with me conversing with other editors to clean up messes that are left behind. (From a biter, man I wish he came back)

- Hi MemeGod27 (before I changed my username). Thank you for your work on List of Ohio tornadoes. Another editor, Clearfrienda, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Great job
