Minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Sportsman's Warehouse, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 20:46, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Adding content about a company's "mission statement" to a Wikipedia article about the company is not really considered acceptable per WP:NOTPROMOTION, and it's certainly not something which is going to be considered a minor edit. I realize that your quite new to Wikipedia and you're trying to edit as best as you can according to relevant policies and guidelines, but you really should refrain from directly editing the article altogether given that you're being paid. You should instead use the article's talk page instead to request changes and otherwise follow WP:PSCOI#Steps for engagement. Any edit, even ones which might be argued to be OK per WP:COIADVICE (except for obvious syntax/formatting corrections or serious policy violations) are most likely going to be viewed with suspicion by many editors; so, it's best to use the talk page to request any changes to the article content that involve actually changing content. Marking all of your changes as MINOR is also not a very good idea. Making a mistake in this regard once or twice is going most likely not going to be of much concern, but there's a good chance that constantly doing it is going to be seen as an attempt to "game" relevant policies and guidelines even if that's really not your intent. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:04, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
