- The source website shows a Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) license, which is not compatible with the file being hosted on this wiki. Dianna (talk) 00:24, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok, does the license need to change on the file?--LJ Holden 00:40, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- The source website shows that only non-commercial uses are permitted. That's not a compatible license for a file to be uploaded here; we require that all content be freely available, including for commercial use. You could try contacting the organisation and see if they want to release this image under an acceptable license. There's instructions on how to do this at Commons:OTRS. -- Dianna (talk) 02:36, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Metro kalibo.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This file consists of a montage of various images. We need to know the source and copyright status of each image in order to be able to host the file on this wiki. Dianna (talk) 01:54, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- For example, one of the images comes from http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?s=4296e7bf6c2a2efc8d40fc1887b77521&p=99470147&postcount=6810 without evidence of permission from the photographer. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:02, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- This is very likely a copyright logo. I can't find out much about this organisation as they don't seem to have a wiki article or a website. There's copies of this image on Facebook. Dianna (talk) 02:31, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Ingjald.gif (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Tagged with {{PD-old-100}}, which states, "This file is in the public domain because its copyright has expired in the United States and those countries with a copyright term of no more than the life of the author plus 100 years." But according to the description the artist, Gerhard Munthe, died in 1929, which is less than 100 years ago. —Bkell (talk) 15:10, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- While it has not been 100 years, Gerhard Munthe died 1929 and according to Norwegian law (life of author + 70 years) his work became public domain 01.01.2000. I believe the PD tag just needs to be updated, either to one that reflects the 70 years, maybe PD-old-70 instead, although it doesnt look like it will be in the US public domain until 95 years after death of author, which would be 2024/2025. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 17:02, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Wikipedia uses USA law, not Norwegian law. Unless published before 1923, it is protected by copyright in the United States for 95 years since publication. nb:Gerhard Munthe contains a list of his works. For example, it says "1896–1899: Illustrasjoner til Snorres Kongesagaer". Considering the characters illustration, it is likely that this is one of those illustrations which were first published between 1896-99. If so,
{{PD-US-1923-abroad|2000}}
should work fine. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:14, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]- There's a copy on the Commons that shows a publication date of the 1890s, so I am deleting this copy as F8. -- Dianna (talk) 02:35, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
