Πέρσαι (Persians) is a Greek tragedy written by Aeschylus and performed in 472 BC. It includes the oldest surviving account of Greek history, treating the Greek defeat of Xerxes' armies from the perspective of the Persians. It is also the oldest surviving play in world literature.
