Borrowed from Classical Persian دوزخ (dōzax), from Middle Persian 𐭣𐭥𐭱𐭧𐭥𐭩 (dwšḥwy /⁠dušox⁠/). Compare Old Punjabi ਦੋਜਕੁ (dojaku).
