[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *toku (“buckle, clasp”); cognate with Azerbaijani toqqa, Chuvash [script needed] (tъʷɣa), Kazakh тоға (toğa), Turkmen toqa and Uzbek to‘qa.
