[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish عدالت (ʼadalet, “justice”), from Classical Persian عدالت, from Arabic عَدَالَةٌ f (ʕadālatun, verbal noun). Compare to Azerbaijani ədalət, Uyghur ئادالەت (adalet), Uzbek adolat.
