So keep watching for every detail that you need. To begin, you want to clean one pineapple, peel and cut into rings just like this. Next, go ahead and clean the fish very nicely, pat it dry and then score the fish on both sides. I'm using salmon for this recipe but feel free to use any fish that you like. You can use catfish, croaker fish, any fish at all. After scouring the fish, I'm going to lightly season this fish with some salt and black pepper. Next in a bowl, add some melted butter or softened butter going with some smoked paprika, onion powder, some salt and seasoning, garlic powder, chili flakes, some green seasoning, I'll leave a link to this video in the comment section. You also want to add some lemon juice and mix this well to combine. Today's special hug is for tattoo prince watching from South Africa. I'm glad you love the recipes. Please let me know where you're watching from. Moving on, you want to spread that marinade all over the fish in and out everywhere. You also want to try to get into the cut we made on the fish. We want this fish to be delicious, okay? So try to get in there on both sides. Next I'm going to stuff the fish with some onion rings, some basil or any vegetable that you like. And then I'm going to go in with the pineapple rings. Make sure you stuff it in well and then seal this properly with the aid of a toothpick so that all the moisture will be retained in the fish. I'm going to place some lemon rings on top of the fish and some pineapple into those cut. And now it is time for this to go into the oven. But before you start to smell the marinade all over the fish, you want to preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. I am going to bake this for the first 30 minutes on 400 then uncovered for another 1015 minutes. Now this fish is big but depending on the size you are working with you may not have to bake for that long. The fish is ready, it is nice and crisp on the outside and inside is so moist and delicious. That pineapple did wonders. So before you cut, you want to let this rest for a few minutes so that all the juice is retained in it. Cut and serve with rice, potatoes or plantain, any side that you like and this is a sure banger. I hope you get to try this out, like I said you can use any fish that you have or that is available to you and you will get the same experience. Just make sure you season it properly. I hope you enjoy this when you try it. See you in my next video. Bye.

1M views · 12K reactions | Steamed fish Jamaican Style | By Toya's Kitchen | Hello everyone. Welcome back. Let's make some steamed fish. So here I have two snapper fish. I'm just going to go ahead and clean this up. I removed the fins and that back part and the tail. And these normally come scale but you want to go through and fine tune and get rid of any scale that they have missed and just cleaned up nicely and you want to rinse well with some sort of citrus, lemon, lime, oranges or even some white distilled vinegar will do. You want to wash wash this nicely to cut away the rawness from the fish and just give it a good rinse. Then I'm going to go ahead and make a few incisions to allow some seasons to go through this fish. These are some medium size to large fish so kind of want the season to go in and through. So I just season lightly. So Maggie fish seasoning, seasoning salt and black pepper. And I'm going to go ahead and season this liberally and set aside to marinate for about five to 10 minutes. Feel free to use any season of choice. I like to keep it light nice and light and simple. Because it's seafood we don't really want to overpowered seafood. So just go light on the seasoning or just use your favorite all purpose blend. Seasoned to your liking. I'm going to set this aside and allow it to marinate for a little bit. So in the meantime I'm going to go ahead and chop up my veggies of course. Steamed fish is not steamed fish without okra to me. And I'll be adding some pumpkin to this. As right here you could add your favorite veggies that you like. I'll be adding some carrot as well. You want to cut these into similar size so they would cook evenly or almost the same size. I'm going to go ahead and slice up some red onions, some bell peppers. Add your favorite veggies. Leave out what you don't like. And of course I'm going to add Irish potato for body. So in a heated pot I went in with some butter. And I'm going to saute my garlic a little bit for a couple of seconds. Then in with my onion and the rest of my veggies. And I'm going to saute this for a couple seconds as well. Just to get them coated in that garlic. A butter niceness. We're going to do this for a couple of minutes. Then in with our Harris potatoes and we're going to saute this for about a minute or so just to incorporate. Then we're going to spice this up with some fermented seeds, scratch bonnet pepper and some thyme. Then we're going to add some more flavors with this pumpkin soup mix. Um I added the fish and the pumpkin. The pumpkin one is just to give a little bit more yellow color. And the fish want to flavor it up. Now we're going to go ahead and add some hot water just enough because we're not making soup. We don't really want this too soupy and we're going to season to our liking and cover and allow this to soften up for about 10 minutes before adding the fish. After 10 minutes you want to go ahead remove the veggies around. Add the fish. And if you're using balmy at this point I like to add my balmy and then cover and allow this to steam for about eight minutes after I add it and let it cook and the balm is soften up and there you have it. Your steamed fish is ready. Serve and enjoy. Thank you so very much for watching.
