Mark Wills on Instagram: "Here’s a fun little technique for the gel plate, embossed resist. Basically take a piece of paper, thicker is better but copier paper works fine, take a biro/ball point/bic pen or anything with a pointed end to it really #gelprinting #gelprinting and draw a simple design onto your paper, you want to see the indentation on the backside of it. Then ink up your plate with a thin layer of acrylic, whilst the paint is still wet, place the paper face down onto the plate. Give it a rub over with your fingers concentrating the light pressure around the embossed lines so that your paper soaks up and removes the paint where you don’t want it to be left, then pull the paper and you should just be left with your embossed pattern left on your plate in paint. Leave this to dry
