It makes sense that nerves may be high when prepping this dish, but I am here to alleviate that stress for you.Here are the key 🔑tips and tricks to a perfect bird: 🔪 BRINE your bird. Brining is the process of infusing proteins with salt, sugar, and flavor. In addition, it tenderizes and moisturizes meat. You can go with a wet or dry brine for this. My preference is a dry brine for ease and to ensure ultra-crispy skin. BONUS - add baking powder to your dry brine for even more skin-crisping action + brown sugar for bronzing. 🔪Get your bird to room temperature before it goes into the oven. Then, stuff the cavity, tie the legs, and give it a final coating of oil and salt. 🔪 Start in a HOT oven (400F) for the first 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350F for the remainder of the cook. Rotate every 30 minutes for even browning. The general rule is about 13 minutes per pound of unstuffed turkey. 🔪Allow the turkey to rest for at least 30 minutes once it comes out of the oven.
