Hot air balloon stem activities

I have some science projects lined up to share, but the boys have been wanting to do these projects that we've seen around the blog and they are most important right?! We finally got the main things we needed for these 2 activities

Students are introduced to the concept of air pressure and use the associated activity to see how it is affected by different variables. They explore how air pressure creates force on an object. They study the relationship between air pressure and the velocity of moving air.

We have created a great hot air balloon word search, perfect if you are doing a transport theme.

In this science fair project, students will make hot-air balloons using a toaster and dry-cleaning bags, and see how the size of the balloon affects its flight.
