In January and February each year, Tampa, Fl is invaded by Pirates. This started in 1904 when a mythological pirate named Jose Gaspar and his Krewe attacked Tampa on horse back during May Day celebrations and were given the key to the city. The invasion has turned into a yearly tradition with amazing parades that bring around $40 million dollars to the local economy each year.
