Leading up to his arrival & those first few months he was here. HARD. Not necessarily the constant diaper changes, sleepless nights, feed schedules, demands, carrying, etc. But the constant worry, weird & random states of anxiety you never felt before, random feelings of overwhelm, overstimulation. The constant schedule changes. The fear your “good” isn’t good enough. The resentment you feel towards your partner when they can leave without having to find someone to watch the babies/take long potty breaks/move without a baby latched/etc. The fear that when the day ended “was I a good mom today?”. The weight of the world on your shoulders. There’s soooo much HARD in motherhood that’s not talked about enough. (There’s a lot of GOOD too, I know🙏🏼) But I’m here to acknowledge the hard. To show others that not every day in motherhood is sunshine & rainbows. To remind other moms that you ARE enough for those babies of yours. You WILL see the light again in the chaos. It might not make sense right now & it might feel like you just can’t catch a break or your breath… and while that’s a-ok, I promise things will make sense soon. You WILL feel light soon. The weight will be lifted before you know it (you may even experience that relief as soon as they smile at you today, bc same🥹) This is for the moms going through the HARD right now.
