Denise Hale's 'Downton' sketch put in perspective
Fashion illustrator David Downton created this drawing of Denise Hale, who sponsored the second season of PBS TV's "Downton Abbey" series. The illustrator is no relation to the fictional family. KQED-TV's art director, Zaldy Serrano, brought the drawing to life with animation. The animation is seen in the opening credits of the show, which is dedicated by Hale to her late husband.
