PRESENTACIÓN:
Apreciado estudiante, bajo el desarrollo de esta guía usted podrá identificar las diferentes dimensiones que
componen el uso de un tiempo verbal tan conocido como PRESENTE SIMPLE, con un mayor énfasis en
mensajes de carácter afirmativo. Al estar usted en una primera fase de desarrollar habilidades en un idioma
extranjero, en este caso Inglés, la guía se enfoca en la proyección visual del lenguaje, el empleo de
herramientas meta cognitivas y el fortalecimiento de procesos sinápticos mediante el límite de tiempo.

1. Forms

The pronunciation of the – (e)s ending depends on the sound that comes before it.
3. Non-progressive verbs
However, the simple present is used for things happening ‘around the present’ when the verb
does not have not have progressive forms.
The simple present is also often used instead of will … in subordinate clauses that refer to the
future.
I’ll kill anybody who touches my car. (NOT … who will touch …)
I’ll phone you when I get home. (NOT … when I’ll get home.)
5. Series of events:
Demonstrations, commentaries, instructions, stories
When we talk about series of completed actions and events, we often use the simple present.
This happens, for example, in demonstrations, commentaries, instructions and present-tense
stories.
First I take a bowl and break two eggs into it. Next … (NOT First I am taking a bowl…)
Square passes to James, James shoots – and it’s goal!
How do I get to the Bolivar’s square? – You go straight on to the traffic lights, then you turn left, …

Life on the Space Station Astronauts on the International Space Station have a busy schedule. Every day they wake up at
7:00 GMT.1 From 7:00 to 8:00, they wash up and eat breakfast. At 8:00 in the morning, they call Ground Control2 in
their countries. After they talk to Ground Control, their workday begins. The astronauts don’t do the same thing every
day. Their schedules change every week. The astronauts don’t work all the time. Each day they exercise for an hour in
the morning and an hour in the afternoon. After dinner, they have free time. Then, it’s time to go to sleep. Sometimes
this isn’t easy because the sun rises and sets 16 times each day on the space station. The astronauts’ work doesn’t end
on Friday. They work a half day on Saturday and all day on Sunday. Astronauts are very busy people.

Como ya sabemos el presente simple se usa para describir rutinas o habitos, para este
ejercicio de produccion vamos a describir nuestra rutina y la de alguno de los integrantes de
nuestra familia durante cuarentena ,cada rutina debe tener un minimo de 10 acciones o
actividades desarrolladas en un dia de cuarentena, se creativo.
