As rumors continued to swirl about the tension on the Anger Management set between star Charlie Sheen and co-star Semla Blair, Lionsgate released a statement late Tuesday confirming the actress had departed the FX show.

“We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best,” the studio said in a brief statement.

News of her exit comes after nearly two days of gossip, stemming from a TMZ report that Sheen wanted Blair off the show. On the show, Blair played Kate, a fellow therapist/”friend with benefits.”

After an initial 10-episode run, the show, which airs on FX, returned in January with the back 90 episodes of its 100-episode order.
