TV Survivor 47 exclusive deleted scene shows Sol dunking on Rome… in Rome's shirt "What up, Rome?" By Dalton Ross Dalton Ross California Dreams was better than Saved by the Bell. There, I said it. EW's editorial guidelines Published on November 7, 2024 08:00AM EST Comments One of the true delights of the Survivor 47 season was watching the equal parts personal and strategic rivalry between Rome Cooney and Sol Yi. From the get-go, the two did not see eye to eye on pretty much anything. Highlights included Rome following Sol around step for step as the latter went searching for an immunity idol, Sol accusing Rome of threatening him if he did not give up his Shot in the Dark, and, of course, Sol memorably repeating "Not it, Rome" over and over as the other struggled to fit a single fire puzzle piece in during a challenge. Their feud reached its climax when Rome thought he had masterminded his nemesis' exit — even bragging he would be "feasting on Sol's bones" — only to be blindsided out of the game himself. Well, if that was the denouement, we know have the post-credits scene. Sol Yi on 'Survivor 47'. CBS Survivor 47 star Rome Cooney got a 'salty' reception at Ponderosa In an exclusive deleted scene from this week's episode, we see Sol chatting up Kyle Ostwald and explaining, "So Rome and I did not get along in camp at all." That's not exactly breaking news, so why is Sol telling Kyle this? Because there is another matter to be discussed. "He left his shirt," Sol reveals of Rome's signature red lightning T. Yeah, and…? "I kind of want to wear it," Sol continues. "Just to be, like, 'What up, Rome?'" He then quickly reconsiders. "But I'm not that guy though." Oh, but he is! He is that guy! Because the next thing we see is Sol going to put the shirt on! "There's no way I'm going to fit in this," Sol remarks as he picks up the four-sizes-too-small shirt. "This is like my wrestling singlet." Sol then explains the significance to us: "I put that bad boy on to rub it in that I'm still here, baby!" Sol Yi on 'Survivor 47'. After giving a fashion show for the entire tribe and being told he looks like both a wrestler and a superhero, Sol informs the group, "I am going to wear this. It's just too good not to." And then he solicits donations: "How much to wear this on the next challenge?" (Apparently not enough, since Sol ended up donning his regular clothes for the next day's competition. Boooooooo!) "Well, we're going to have to think about it," Sol concludes. "I think Rome would take it well. And it's in honor of Rome." Of course it is! Whatever you say!
