The View's Sara Haines says Amazon Alexa responded to her and husband's noises during sex

"Alexa answered, [she] was like, 'I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.'"

Remember the time Whoopi Goldberg warned the world about the dangers of an Amazon Alexa AI apocalypse? Well, The View cohost Sara Haines didn't listen — the same can't be said for Haines' Alexa device, which she revealed once responded to sex noises she made with her husband, Max Shifrin.

Friday's episode of the talk show included a Hot Topics discussion on NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe going live on social media while performing a sex act, with Haines, 46, admitting that, while she's never streamed acts of intimacy with Max, Alexa did try to join in on the fun.

"One time Max and I were 'cuddling,'" she said with a smile, while Joy Behar, 81, quipped that she and Max were "cuddling naked," to be clear.

Haines continued: "Alexa answered, [she] was like, 'I'm sorry, I don't understand the question,'" prompting laughter from her cohosts and the studio audience.

"If this happened in my house, I think [my husband] Al would be with the top down in the convertible rolling down Miami playing it on a loud speaker," 52-year-old Ana Navarro added.

Earlier, conservative seat-holder Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted that what happened with Sharpe is her "biggest fear," and it forces her to take extra precautions with her husband, Justin.

"I swear, every time I have sex with my husband, I take the phone off the bed and put it upside-down. I'm afraid of live-streaming or my mom calls and hears it. Never have the phone in the bed. It can be in the bedroom, but away from the bed," Griffin, 35, said. "Nightstand, down, and locked is the official place."

Earlier this week, Sharpe addressed the flub on his Nightcap podcast, saying he was "embarrassed" by the incident.

“[I’m] someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details — the audio — heard for the entire world to hear? I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons," he said.
