Movies T.J. Miller says it'd be 'awesome' to do Deadpool 4 if 'good friend' Ryan Reynolds asks him The controversial actor appeared in the first two "Deadpool" movies. By Raechal Shewfelt Published on November 14, 2024 09:30AM EST Comments Controversial actor T.J. Miller wants to be part of a potential Deadpool 4, after previously saying that he'd never work with star Ryan Reynolds again. The Silicon Valley actor played Weasel in the first two installments of the comedic superhero saga, 2016's Deadpool and 2018's Deadpool 2, but he was not a cast member in this year's Deadpool and Wolverine. "I think him asking me, I think he's just been such a good friend right now that I think it would be really, I think that would be awesome." Ryan Reynolds believes Eddie Murphy should have won an Oscar — but not for the movie you're thinking of By the time the second Deadpool film arrived in theaters in May 2018, Miller had faced myriad issues in his personal life, including an arrest for having made a fake bomb threat and allegations of sexual assault. (Federal charges for the bomb threat were dropped and he denied the sexual misconduct allegations.) But in October 2022, it was Miller who said he'd never work with Reynolds again. He described Reynolds' in-character behavior as "horrifically mean to me." "Would I work with him again? No. I would not work with him again," Miller said on The Adam Carolla Show. "I sorta wish him well because he's so good at Deadpool, and I think it's weird that he hates me." But later that month, Miller said the actors were back on good terms, after Reynolds reached out. Ryan Reynolds says Marvel is 'obsessed' with Channing Tatum's Gambit after Deadpool & Wolverine "It was really cool, he emailed me the next day," Miller said on SiriusXM's Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show. "It was a misunderstanding, so I emailed him back and now it's, like, fine." Although there has been no announcement of a fourth installment in the franchise, the cameo-packed Deadpool & Wolverine was a summer box office smash, surpassing Joker to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. In his new interview, Miller also spoke about his current relationship with director Michael Bay, whose on-set style he publicly criticized after appearing in Bay's 201 film Transformers: Age of Extinction. Deadpool & Wolverine team recall the near-return of Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider: 'We tried to get him' "I'm friends with Michael Bay and I think during that experience with Transformers 4, I was not sure that I would work with him again," Miller said. "Because I was like, this is very, well but it's a $300 million film, so it's not easy for anybody to make that happen, especially when it makes a billion dollars. But now I'm buddies with him enough that I would do almost anything that he wanted to do." EW has reached out to representatives of Reynolds and Bay for comment. Miller's last movie role was in 2020's The Stand In starring Drew Barrymore.
