EW's editorial guidelines Published on October 4, 2023 08:29PM EDT Move over Nicole Scherzinger, The Masked Singer has a new emotional panelist in town. While usually it's Scherzinger who cries on the disguised celeb singing show, during this week's NFL Night, it was Ken Jeong who brought the water works. During Gazelle's performance of Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away," Jeong could be seen looking deep in thought, and when it was time to guess her identity moments later, it became clear why. After Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg gave her guess of Leighton Meester, which Robin Thicke hilariously refused to double down on, it was Jeong's turn to reveal his guess. "Real talk, you don't hear me talk like this a lot, but I never get so moved by an actual voice," he said, choking up. With tears in his eyes, he continued, "I don't have the ear that Robin and Nicole have, and I might be wrong, but it sounds like someone who I genuinely love who is a dear friend of mine, and I think just hearing this voice, this might be Constance Wu." After his fellow panelists shared their support for his guess, Jeong added, "And even if it's not you, I just want you to know, I am thinking about Wu, love you." Gazelle, whoever she is, seemed touched by Jeong's comments, telling him, "I love you, Ken." Wu and Jeong have known each other for many years, having worked together on the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat and the rom-com Crazy Rich Asians. Although Jeong didn't directly allude to it, it's been a difficult few years for Wu, who has been open about her mental health struggles and suicide attempt after enduring cyberbullying and backlash to a series of tweets she made about the sitcom. Ken Jeong and Constance Wu attend SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly Radio Spotlight With The Cast Of 'Crazy Rich Asians' on August 15, 2018 in New York City. Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Although Gazelle's true identity has not yet been revealed, Jeong has been on a surprising roll so far this season. Last week, he was the only one to correctly guess that Rubber Ducky was Anthony Anderson, and his guess that Diver is Tom Sandoval is not sounding too shabby either. Should his Gazelle guess pan out, Fox may as well just call this Season Ken. Watch Jeong make his guess in the clip above. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
