Whoopi Goldberg gets up from The View table to analyze photo of alien body: 'It's definitely dead'

"I think he dated Lauren Boebert," Joy Behar quipped before Goldberg got up from the Hot Topics table to inspect the little space invader.

Whoopi Goldberg, who knew about aliens before Congress did, scooted out of her seat on The View to take a closer look at an alleged alien body.

The Oscar-winning Ghost actress introduced the discussion on extraterrestrials at Wednesday's Hot Topics table, referencing the recent presentation of supposed alien bodies to the Mexican Congress.

"It's not a puppet. It doesn't seem to be. I mean, it's definitely dead," the 67-year-old observed. "I think he dated Lauren Boebert," cohost Joy Behar quipped, referencing the man Rep. Boebert caused "a disturbance" with before being kicked out of a Denver theater last week.

Goldberg's inquiry persisted, as she claimed that the alien "looks like the Close Encounter" spaceling, while Sunny Hostin said he looked like "a little E.T."

To further inspect the anatomy of the little guy, Goldberg got up from her chair and proceeded to the giant screen framing the table. She pointed to his skull and spoke her findings to the room.

"When he gets off of the thing, this is what comes walking out. I'm not buying that, I'm sorry. Uh uh," Goldberg said, effectively concluding her presentation.

Alyssa Farah Griffin ended the chat by questioning the validity of the bodies.

"I don't believe that we are alone, but I refuse to believe that Steven Spielberg was so close in casting E.T., but also I'm not fearing an alien invasion if they are yea high and basically like the size of my dog," she said. "If we shaved him down, I feel like he'd look like this. Like, what a cute little alien."

In July, Goldberg spoke about a congressional hearing on UFOs and aliens that yielded suggestions that the United States government possessed "non-human" remains reportedly recovered from space objects.

"Well, I knew," Goldberg said at the time. "I don't know why everybody else is so surprised. We're not the only ones in the universe. We're just not."

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.
