FAIRYGORE
HAIL & WELL MET, TRAVELER. Welcome to Fairygore: a bunker in the nuclear waste, a court in the otherland, a naughty magician's trick! Feel free to wander about, but be sure to stay on the path β€” strange things come out after dark.

Part of a John Bauer painting showing a woman with long shining hair loose over her shoulders. Her hands stick out of it, supplicant. She is wearing a crown atop her head. My name is Tehsin and I am a 20-year-old student from Montreal, as well as the despotic girl-king of Fairygore. I wish you a warm welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I made this site because I'm really sick of conventional social media. It usually bores me and it wastes my time β€” on the other hand, this site is so unique to me that it's incredibly refreshing. I feel like Fairygore is more a digital room or commonplace book that I curate and can spend time in, and I hope you have a nice time looking around, too! κ•€
Tehsin says: …In that Empire, the Art of Cartography attained such Perfection that the map of a single Province occupied the entirety of a City, and the map of the Empire, the entirety of a Province. In time, those Unconscionable Maps no longer satisfied, and the Cartographers Guilds struck a Map of the Empire whose size was that of the Empire, and which coincided point for point with it. The following Generations, who were not so fond of the Study of Cartography as their Forebears had been, saw that that vast Map was Useless, and not without some Pitilessness was it, that they delivered it up to the Inclemencies of Sun and Winters. In the Deserts of the West, still today, there are Tattered Ruins of that Map, inhabited by Animals and Beggars; in all the Land there is no other Relic of the Disciplines of Geography.

✡ What have I been up to? (March 28, 4:39 pm)
Again, I really need to set up that diary page and move this stuff there so this section can be a bit more light-hearted. Getting ready for work - it's going to be Eid soon, probably on Sunday. Exhausted down to the bone. Feeling awful. Hoping April will be kinder.

(Mar. 21, 12:06 pm) Working on my portfolio & an essay that's now seven minutes overdue... something about leopards never changing their spots. It's a bit frustrating because I have a lot to say for the essay and I think the topics are interesting. As for the portfolio, I think I'm cosmically doomed. I really need to make a proper diary page so I can expound on this kind of stuff β€” something to use as motivation to finish my work I suppose.

(Mar. 17, 3:50 PM) I've been tring to read more which is, I think, my goal every month β€” and, to be fair, I think I've been reading a lot more in 2025! I picked A Game of Thrones back up today. I started it last winter (I think?) and then put it on hold, but I really like it (MUCH better than the show, in any case) and am actually a little annoyed that it's as good and captivating as it is. My battered copy of Martin's A Game of Thrones.
☜ That's what the weather was like just a few weeks ago, and now most of the snow has melted and you can see the grass! There's lots of mud everywhere and it smells like mulch and wet grass which, after months and months of snow as tall as I am, I could not be more thrilled by. I can't wait for the spring :-)
School is curbstomping me (as usual) but, for maybe the first time in recorded history, I'm on top of my schoolwork because I spent the last week grinding out essays and assignments. I have another assignment due on Friday, so I'm hoping I can keep up that streak...
