Alessio Giovene
Alessio Giovene is a Ph.D. student in Italian Studies and Comparative Literature at FAU, where he is also GTA of Italian Literature and Culture. Before, he completed his studies at Università di Bologna, where he graduated in 20th-century Italian Poetry with a thesis about the influence of Bergson and Lacan on Ungaretti and Zanzotto. He specializes in Italian Studies and Comparative Literature, hybridizing his research with Animal Studies, Ecocriticism, Disability Studies, and Gender Studies. He published articles in international journals (i.e., Gradiva, Italian Studies, The Steinbeck Review) and presented his research at institutions such as Yale, Brown, and UPenn.
