• To Tumblr @staff,

Recently, many Tumblr blogs (ex: @gay & @musicgifs are just two I can list off) have been facing unnecessary bans, restricted visibility of our blogs, being unable to be seen in tags and unable to interact with others - without clear communication or valid reasons. Overall, our presence on this platform has been severely hindered.

The complete lack of response or explanation from @staff when users are reaching out is very disheartening. I have witnessed this myself with my circle of mutuals. Members of your community should not have to think about remaking due to this. Follow up communication is deeply appreciated.

At this point, it’s time for Tumblr staff to step up and take responsibility. Right the blogs that have been wrongly restricted. Tumblr relies on its creators and communities, so it’s essential that staff take a more active role in protecting their platform's integrity.

This is not only frustrating but also deeply concerning for the LGBTQ+ community, who rely on tumblr for visibility, connection, and a safe space to express themselves and share content with aligned interests and we as a community house a space for this.

It’s time for Tumblr to review its systems, communicate better with its users, and protect the very communities that help make this platform thrive.

Tumblr’s success depends on its users—treat us with the respect we deserve. We need action and answers.

    Thank you.
