This print is so pretty and is perfect on... | By Made Bayou | Let's make another sign ornament tag, shelf sitter. Whatever you like it to be high on Billy with Made by You. I started with a piece of cardboard. Wet it down and let it sit for a minute and then it peeled up. Don't you love the corrugation that it makes. The texture that the cardboard makes. Then I lightly painted some white. Well it's really off white on the board. And then I have this picture from Tamu. It was a pack and I just put it on the bottom corner. Added a little Mod Podge to the picture and a little bit to the cardboard and I'm just going to stick it on there. I love the colors of this Santa. There's red and there's a little bit of pink and green. It is just gorgeous. Once I have it smeared down and rub down and all the bubbles out. I'm going to make a bow. I'm going to wrap it like it's a present. So I got my ribbon and I wrapped it around the front. Kinda knotted it or looped it in the back and then came back around the front. And then I'm going to make a bow and put it right on the front. So pretty. Don't you love it? I did tie off that knot with some jute just to make it stay put. Now I could've stopped there. You know just put a simple little bow but I decided to make a big fancy bow. Got the same ribbon and I'm looping it. Now I'm having to twist the ribbon as I loop because there is a right and wrong way to this ribbon because of the fluffy white around the edges. So after I had the bow made big enough. Cut it off, tied it, and then I'm just going to simply glue it on top of that knot that I created. After I give it a little fluffy and then a little juicine. So isn't it pretty? I decided to add a large rusty bell. Of course you know I love the bells. And a little touch of greenery. And then I thought I would dirty it up just a little bit more. Dirty up the edges since it is you know a vintage photo here. I decided to go ahead and roughen and dirty up the edges of the picture. And then I decided to go ahead and dirty up this white. This white was bright white. I wanted to dull it down a little bit so I did rub my ink all along the ribbon to try to you know dirty it up and tape it down a little bit and I did put it on a little stand these little stands are in my shop so thanks so much for watching I hope you enjoy this project follow along for more ideas spread the love and come back tomorrow I'll see you soon and god bless.

8.3K views · 223 reactions | Scrap wood Christmas sign ❤️ | By Golden Poppy Crafting | Hey, y'all. Another scrap wood project. So I have this piece of wood. It's about 19 inches long. I'm going to go ahead and give it a quick coat of burnt umber by Apple Apple Barrel and I'm going to chippy it up so I take my tea light candle and give it a good coat over the top. Then I go in with some plastered chalk paint from Waverly. And give that a good coat. I have learned the thicker the coat, the easier it is to chippy. This piece of wood had a lot of grooves and things like that so it was it came out pretty good. Once that's all dry I'm going to take my scraper and just give it a good scrape going in all directions. Like I said this piece had a lot of grooves so there's some good chippy effects in there. I do go over with my sander. This is totally optional. It just kind of softens the lines. Um like I said totally optional just a preference. I have these wood ornaments that I got from Hobby Lobby. And I'm going to be using four of them. One I'm going to be painting in moss. Or two I'm sorry. Two I'll be painting in the color moss and then the other two are in crimson. So I have two red and two green essentially. I do end up giving those two coats as well. And these I believe came in either a four or six pack from Hobby Lobby. And then I believe Christmas stuff is 50% off. So they were super cheap. I gave them a light sand. Kinda give it a distressed look. Now I'm going to take some instant coffee, some cinnamon, mix that together, and this is going to be the little ornament hanger. I used some Mod Podge and then just sprinkle that on. Don't forget to do the sides and the top. I do that for each of them. And then I always go over once it's dried with another layer of Mod Podge and it just really gives it that rusty look next I've got these letters these I believe came from Hobby Lobby and they spell the word Noel I'm going to take my ink chalk paint and go over that and while those are drying I do take some bare wax just go around the edges and kind of grunge those ornaments up is completely optional. If you don't like that look, you don't have to do that. Uh I thought it kind of tied in with the rusty tops we did. Next, I'm going to take my letters once I've dried and I'm going to glue them on. And I'm going to place my ornaments and I do stagger them so they're not all in a straight line. I think that's cute but you could do it either way. But here it is. And then next I have this ribbon. This is completely optional. I thought it just needed a little extra. So I made these cute little bows to go on top of each of them. My helper in the background. And here you have it. I hope this inspires you and I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you for watching everyone.
