Today I'll be using these mason jar lids as well as some gift bags from Dollar Tree. I started by painting both of the lids completely with Snow White Chalk Paint by Waverly. Giving them full coverage. And then took a matte varnish by Waverly and an extreme glitter and mixed the two together. I wanted to seal on the paint onto the lids and give it a little bit of a sparkle. Next I'm taking one of the gift bags. They come in a set of three and I also grabbed this separator from Dollar Tree as well. Remove one of the clear plastic inserts. I took one of the lids and trace that on the plastic insert and cut that I also trimmed it up to make sure that it fit on the inside part of the lid. I did the same thing with one side of the gift bag. Next on the inside rim of the lid I added some hot glue all the way around and placed in the gift bag making sure it was all attached to that hot glue. I then did the same thing on the other lid with that clear insert piece that I had cut. Next I'm taking some twine and I'm making a loop and just knotting it. And then hot gluing that to the inside top of the one with the gift bag. And leaving that loop hanging out. So that'll be my hanger. And then take this little tree and cut off the stand from it. Add some hot glue to the lid with the clear insert. And place that down and hold it into place until it stays put. And then take some faux snow I got from Dollar Tree and place that on top of the gift bag one. And then add some gorilla grip glue as well as hot glue to the rim of the gift bag one. And then flip over and place down the other lid on top of that one. Next I'm taking some buffalo check ribbon. And what I'm doing is I folded it over and cut a little slit in it so that twine will pull through there. And then I halt glue that all the way around. That'll help keep those in place as well and kind of cover up where they connect that spaces. And at first I left it just like this but then I thought it needed something a little extra. I'm not too sure if I like it better or not. You guys tell me what you think. I added some greenery on the top of it afterwards. So just let me know which one you like better. And that is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.

How to Make Ribbon Christmas Tree Ornaments DIY
I started buying my husband Christmas ornaments back when we were dating. Once we had kids, I continued the tradition, but a few years ago I was having trouble finding “the perfect one” for each child. That’s when I decided to start MAKING my own ornaments. Now, my daughters and I pick one Saturday in December, turn on Christmas music, and get creating. I imagine that someday when they have their first apartment, they will look back with special memories as they unpack all their ornam…
