This is just a small snippet of how I structure my core workouts:

1️⃣ I do exercises that CREATE movement in all directions (flexion, extension, rotation, and lateral flexion)

2️⃣ I do exercises that RESIST movement in all directions (anti-flexion, anti-extension, anti-rotation, anti-lateral flexion)

3️⃣ I progressively overload my core exercises just like I would for any other muscle group

4️⃣ I resist the urge to just do a ton of crunch variations to “feel the burn” even though that’s what was ingrained as a “good” ab workout for so many years! I know better now 🧠
