We are in the Lake District following in the footsteps of Beatrix Potter. The Beatrix Potter gallery (just up the road from this lovely, pink shop) is in the village of Hawkshead, in the old law offices which belonged to her husband, William Heelis, a local solicitor. Today, the building is owned by the National Trust and displays a selection of original prints, letters and drawings.
