Fantasy vulture

In exchange for his watchful protection, this great stone scavenger feeds upon those who have fallen ill from disease and the plague within the city. This is my first in my new series of Goregoyles! With these paintings, I plan to explore this aesthetic of gargoyles, gore, and gothic architecture. I have plenty more colossal beasts in store, so stay tuned to see what creatures will be next as well as updates on when prints will be available (soon!)

Mighty Vulture Griffin! Apex of the flying scavengers, but not the most dangerous beast of the skies.

A giant version of the regular vulture, the Giant Vulture or also known as the Dire Vulture, is a far more aggressive creature which attacks wounded creatures in order to hasten their death. Its diet consistent of any corpse it can find, with this diet leading to it gaining an incredible tolerance for mundane diseases and made so they emit a foul smell wherever they go.
