My client Charlie recently sent me this thrifted sheet to be used with her project, and wanted to make sure that it would be alright to use on the longarm. 

In this instance, I would have had to load the sheet with the hems running perpendicular to the bars of my machine. From past experience, I knew that this would cause the sheet to be really tight at the sides, but drooping in the middle (which might cause unwanted tucks and puckers on the backs of her quilts). 

So I said "No problem, as long as you don't mind me removing the hems". She said it was fine so I made a few snips and ripped 'em right off! ✂️
