In a food processor or blender, combine the shredded coconut until it starts to stick together. Scrape down the sides as needed. 2. Add in the maple syrup and peppermint extract until you reach a dough-like consistency. 3. Form the mixture into discs and arrange them on a lined baking sheet. 4. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to set. 5. Melt the chocolate and dip each patty into the chocolate. Coat all sides and place back on the lined baking sheet. 6. homemade mounds candy bars 🫶🏼 they’re gluten free, dairy free, paleo, and refined sugar free, and so easy to make! honestly they taste better than the real thing…😍 ingredients • 2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes/shreds • 1/4 cup raw honey or pure maple syrup • 1/4 cup coconut oil • 1/4 cup full fat canned coconut milk • 6oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate (i use dairy free) instructions • 1. first, melt the coconut oil. • 2. next, make the coconut filling: add the shredded coconut, coconut milk, honey/maple syrup, and melted coconut oil to a food processor and process for about a minute, scraping down the sides as needed. • 3. once smooth, add the coconut filling to an 8x5 loaf pan lined with parchment paper and smooth it out. place in the freezer to harden for several hours.
