That morning, in the midst of getting ready, Meghan's sister asked her a question, "How excited are you right now?" Meghan smiled and paused for a minute before she answered. "As excited as I am for today, I'm even more excited for tomorrow and the next day," she said as she picked up her vows to re-read them one more time. To Meghan, the ceremony was probably one of the most important parts of the whole day because it would officially mark the moment when she and Chris become husband and wife. The daughter of parents that have been married for forty years, Meghan knows that the wedding day is just the beginning for her and Chris. What started with a shy smile across the cafeteria at UCONN and led to a chance meeting years later brought them to this day, exchanging vows surrounded by their friends and family. As Chris watched Meghan walk down the aisle to him, you could see in his eyes that he felt the same way that she did… that this was the start of the next chapter, the best chapter, of their lives. He, too, had a solid example of marriage in his parents. Married for 39 years, they have shown him just how rewarding married life can be. From that solid foundation, Meghan and Chris have built a relationship that is an example to all those around them - much like their parents have done. Looking around to all the guests during the ceremony, it was clear that no one could doubt that they'd all be gathered together again in forty years, when Meghan and Chris reach that very same milestone.
