Wayfarer - Bug Report
The following is a bug report form for the interactive fiction game WAYFARER by Idrelle Games.
BEFORE YOU SUBMIT
If you tried to launch to the game and received an error message that reads “Error: no storage adaptors found", try the following:
use an up-to-date browser
do not launch incognito mode
enable third party cookies on the game page
whitelist the game page in your adblocker
always play online with an internet connection
Make sure you are playing on an up-to-date version of the game!
Always play on a fresh session
If you keep your tabs open for a long time, close the tab and refresh the game. This will ensure you are playing on the latest patch.
If you have downloaded files through the itch.io app, always update the files so you have the latest patch.
Some bug fixes may require you to restart the game from the beginning (for example, if you see $lastname1 as an unset variable, you are using an old save and need to restart. Sorry!). Check the patch notes for guidance.
If you have issues with the itch.io app, switch to a browser
If you are on desktop and are stuck on the first Exploration screen:
Click on the map. The map is coded to be interactive and the available areas light up when you hover over it.
If you shrink your browser on desktop, you may trigger the mobile settings and the map will become unavailable. Click on the links instead.
If you cannot interact with the map, disable it in Settings. You can click on the links instead.
If you lost your saves:
Browser saves are stored in your browser. If your browser history/cache/cookies get cleared, you will lose your browser saves
Make backups using Save to Disk. These saves will be stored directly on your device instead of your browser.

If icons or fonts are missing:
Check your internet connection. Some icons need internet connection to appear.
Check your browser's extensions. They may be interfering with the game's ability to load and display icons.
Missing icons or fonts are ALWAYS an issue on the user's end, not the game itself.
Please read each section fully and answer completely before submitting your form. Only answer for one bug/error at a time.
