🌍 CMA CGM x The FlipFlopi Project: Strengthening our commitment to a cleaner future in Lamu, Kenya. CMA CGM renews its partnership with Flip Flopi. Launched in May 2023, this partnership aims to continue driving meaningful change toward a plastic-free future. 🔹 Removing Plastic: 30 tons of waste collected, 75% of which were clothing. 🔹 Reducing Waste: 4.8 tons recovered with the participation of 292 households. 🔹 Sequestering Carbon: 8,708 seedlings planted, with a goal of sequestering 1,900 tons of CO2 in 2024. This partnership is already making a tangible impact. As our General Manager Naveen Prabhu puts it: "Although only launched in May 2023, there is already huge positive impact of the project where 66% of the Lamu archipelago population is now living in a much healthier environment and 300+ individuals receiving supplemental income in an area with high poverty levels has improved people’s lives.” 🌟💪 Let’s keep moving forward together! #CMACGM #Sustainability #Partnership
