Tercia Goh 🦌 | Journal Scrapbooking on Instagram: "Simple & Easy Image Transfer tutorial! Step by step guide. 👇🏼 Supplies needed: Ephemera | Scissors | Cellophane Tape | Bowl of Water Step 1: cut out desired image from an old book, magazines or photo. (You may choose to stick the tape over the image and peel off directly but I find that the image isn’t as clear) Step 2: layer the top of the image with cellophane tape Step 3: cut off excess tape Step 4: soak it in water. The longer you wait the easier it will be to remove the paper. Step 5: gently rub the back of the image until you remove all the paper residue. Step 6: Let dry and you’re done! 💡Optional: Lay the pieces down on baking paper and dab a sponge with Distress Collage Medium Matte to remove the glossiness of the cellopha

Delaney | Vintage, interiors & personal style on Instagram: "I’m learning that if you spend enough time wandering around the hardware store you will find SOMETHING to suit your needs even if its original purpose is not what you intend to use it for. In this case, I knew I wanted to add gathered fabric behind the glass of our new (to us) kitchen cabinet, but I was not loving the price tags of adding café curtain hardware. Like, yes I would love to have entirely brass rods and fixtures in there but wow the price tag on that HURTS. So I have devised this very clever (she says modestly) solution using dowels and cable clips (which I did not know were a thing). Ultimately I think I’ll end up painting the dowels and clips to have them blend in a bit more, but I am obviously feeling very self

Our dreams of having a home library are beginning to come true, thanks to utilizing IKEA billy bookcases to help us create the perfect custom library built-ins! We’ve still got a lot to finish up in the room but this is the most important part because you can’t have a library without bookcases! molly harris | diy furniture flips on Instagram: "If I was just starting out today with no tools + no garage, THIS is how I would flip every single piece. The ‘pottery barn’ finish sells fast & for top $$$. I bought this piece for $50 and sold it for $450 in 24 hours💰 Here’s how I did it: + scuff sand with 150 grit + vacuum/wipe away dust to prep for primer + apply 3 coats of Zinnser bullseye 1-2-3 primer tinted in the color turbo tan (this will give you a wood colored base) and sand lightly with 320 grit before third coat. (If your hardware store won’t tint your primer, you can achieve the same look by priming first then adding tan paint!) + apply two coats of my favorite pickled oak gel stain.. drag the the whisk broom across lightly to create texture & grain. + apply one coat of the
