Ram and sita return to ayodhya

When Lord Ram killed demon king Ravana, the kingdom of Lanka was in his hands.His younger brother Lakshman even wanted to stay there,but what Ram said to him has become one of the most famous quotes.He said- "Mother and Motherland are greater than heaven".So Rama with his army returned to Ayodhya. The people of Ayodhya were filled with unbounded joy.They lighted nad decorated their homes, made delicious foods.It is said from then onwards every year on that day Diwali celebrated.

Ram, Laxman and Sita left Ayodhya for the forest for 14 years after being exiled by King Dashratha.

The time period of the exile was now over, and it was time to return to Ayodhya. Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Sugriva, Hanuman, and several others boarded Ravana’s wonderful flower airplane that had been stolen from the demigods, and flew back to Ayodhya.

THE RAMAYANA - Bharat, according to his boons, I am to live in exile while you are to mount the throne. So you must run the government till I am in exile,” argued Ram. “All right; if this is your wish, I must run the administration but in your name only. These wooden shoes of yours will be placed on the throne as a token.” Saying so, Bharata returned to Ayodhya with Ram’s wooden shoes.
