It was facinating to embed my encaustic collagraph printmaking print in several layers of wax on a clay board. Once the red is scrapped off a thin red outline will remain around the tree.

This is an encaustic collagraph printmaking plate made with wax on plexi glass. The plate is inked with Akua ink and a saran wrap mono printing technique is used to create the texture on the surface of the Akua ink. This plate is ready to put through the etching press.
